Aside from being passionate about technology, I am also a writer. My best time to write is often at night or in the early hours of the morning, when the world is quiet and inspiration flows. But there was a problem… writing in the dark wasn’t convenient, and I disliked turning on bright lights or fumbling for a torch.
That’s when the idea struck: “What if I could have a pen that lights up on its own?”
But I didn’t stop there. I wanted more… I wanted the pen to have Bluetooth connectivity, so I could answer calls and listen to audio without needing to keep my phone close, avoiding distractions while I write.
The Challenge of Nothingness
The vision was exciting, but the reality was tough. I had no money for new resources; just a few tools and determination. To many, that would have been a dead end. To me, it was an opportunity.
I turned to our garage, where faulty and discarded gadgets had been kept away. What others saw as junk, I saw as raw material.
The Creative Process
From old Bluetooth earpieces, I salvaged tiny modules. From broken MP3 players, I recovered batteries. From damaged circuit boards and plastics, I extracted parts that could be reshaped and repurposed.
Piece by piece, through patience, trial, and error, the Multifunctional Electronic Pen with Bluetooth began to take form:
